# BISV Hacks 2027

A hackathon for Silicon Valley's next builders.

## About

BISV Hacks is a student-led hackathon organized by students at BASIS Independent Silicon Valley, the #3 ranked STEM school in the US. For one day in February, 300+ high school builders come together in San Jose to design and build projects that matter to them, with workshops, mentors, and meals covered.

You do not need coding experience. You can come alone or with up to four teammates. Demand has outgrown the room every year: nearly 200 registrations for 80 spots in 2025, and 200+ registrations that closed in under two months for 2026. For 2027 we have a bigger venue.

## What to expect

- **Build**: Twelve hours to take an idea to a working demo, solo or with a team.
- **Learn**: Hands-on workshops from sponsors and industry speakers, with mentors on the floor all day.
- **Eat**: Lunch, dinner, and snacks are provided so you can stay focused.
- **Win**: Cash prizes, sponsor tracks, swag, and subscriptions. The full prize slate is announced closer to the event.
